The Growth of Twitter has been tremendous.Currently Twitter is valued at 3.7 Billion Dollars.A Year Ago Twitter was valued at one Billion Dollars.Going at the current pace Twitter can easily mask the mainstream media.Already Blogging has taken a hit(Atleast on my side)
I beleive we need a free and non judgemental media.Most of us beleived Indian Media was so until recently there was Barkhagate and then came IBNLies Gate(http://dalalmedia.posterous.com/36632972)
These Incidents are just tip of the iceberg.Most of us are already aware of paid news in the Indian Media.Journalism in India is not about ethics.Indian Media has become an arm of the Corporate Houses.
So Its about time Twitter starts masking the mainstream Media.English News Channels in India have only 0.4% viewership according to an article by Indian Express(Refer Here).On Twitter we dont have to be put away with Paid news.

Hopefully Truth will prevail.
