Indian DTH viewers are ready to enter into new world of Television viewing , HD viewing with launch of Sun Direct’s Sun Direct HD, Reliance’s Reliance BIG TV HD DVR, Dish TV’s Dish TruHD and Tata Sky’s Tata Sky HD.
And now one more DTH operators are also joining them with launch of Airtel’s HD Service ” Airtel Digital TV HD” which has been launched. Airtel digital TV, the DTH arm of Bharti Airtel, has launched its High Definition service, with set top boxes (STBs) priced at Rs 2,840, further fuelling the price war in the sector.
“Airtel digital TV HD will be available at Rs 2,250 for our existing customers choosing to upgrade and Rs 2,840 for all new customers,” Bharti Airtel Director and CEO (DTH) Ajai Puri said. As of now, subscribers will get access to ESPN’s HD feed of the FIFA World Cup for Rs 99.
